The Gospel of Matthew begins with
a listing of some of Christ's early forebears.
These were the persons who helped make
the coming of Christ possible.
In a sense you too
are part of the genealogy of Christ
because you too in your own way
make the coming of Christ possible.
Just as He once came to Palestine
you make Him come into the world
in which you live and work.

There was a crowd sitting around him when they told him, "Your mother and your brothers are outside asking for you." He answered, "Who are my mother and my brothers?"
