You are built upon the apostles and prophets as your foundation, and Christ Jesus himself is the cornerstone,  Through him every part of the building is closely united and grows into a temple sacred through its relationship to the Lord

an Egyptian cartographer attempted

to fashion a map of the world

in the form of a rectangle

with Jerusalem

at the center

This was a quaint,

yet sincere,

attempt to express

a fundamental Christian conviction;

that the events

which transpired in Jerusalem:

the Passion,

Death and

Resurrection

of Christ

are at the center

of history and life;

they are at the

very center

of our lives.
