He took them,
and sent them across the stream, and set everything that belonged to him

After having put
aside
everything and
everyone
who might distract
him from
his experience of
God
Jacob stood grandly
alone.
There are times
when every Christian
must feel the need
of doing the same;
of going away to a
quiet place,
to stand alone and
strongly experience
God.
