After John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee proclaiming the good news from God.

(Mark 1:14)

This seems to be the law of Christ's coming -

it follows upon suffering.

In Palestine

John the Baptist

had first to come

and be arrested

before Christ came

announcing the good news

In our world it may be just so.

We may have to prepare His way

by our suffering.

We struggle,

we suffer

here in the vineyard

and then

Christ comes.

God give us the strength.
